Toyota Motor Corp. will increase its planned investment in its U.S. operations to $13 billion from $10 billion by 2021 to build more of its models and parts at its U.S. facilities, the company announced.

The move will add nearly 600 new jobs and bring increases in production capacity and facilities at plans in Huntsville, Alabama; Buffalo, West Virginia; Troy, Missouri; and Jackson, Tennessee.

Toyota will produce gasoline-electric hybrid versions of the RAV4 and Lexus ES at its Georgetown, Kentucky plant for the first time.

The highest-dollar investments will come at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Alabama and Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky.
