Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is recalling nearly 8,000 2019 Dodge Challenger, Charger and Chrysler 300 vehicles because the instrument cluster may malfunction and fail to properly illuminate driver warnings.

This situation means the driver could miss warnings about the vehicle’s systems, which increases the likelihood of a crash.

To fix the problem, FCA has notified owners, and dealers will update the instrument cluster software, at no cost to owners.

The recall began April 8. Owners can reach Chrysler customer service at (800) 853-1403. Chrysler’s number for this recall is V32.
