Chevrolet is introducing in-vehicle 4G Wi-Fi hotspots in model-year 2019 vehicles for the Brazilian market, which will allow up to seven devices to be connected at the same time.

Vehicles that are equipped with the technology will be able to send data for remote diagnosis directly to the owner of the vehicle, a call center, or a dealer network, according to a release from General Motors. The 4G system allows high-speed internet access for drivers and passengers to navigate smartphones or tablets.

Computers, TVs, and other systems with compatible technology will also be able to connect to the network, GM said.
